The EPA estimates that indoor air pollution is generally two to five times higher than outdoor pollution. The agency ranks indoor air pollution as one of the top five environmental health concerns in the U.S. Some the leading sources are: air freshener, older furniture and many mattresses that contain a toxic flame retardant, and toxic cleaning products.
